We are committed to creating environments that are safe, supportive, inclusive and where every child feels respected, valued, and protected.
Our Responsibility
As one of Wyndham’s leading community organisations, we take our duty of care seriously. All staff, volunteers, coaches, and contractors are expected to uphold the highest standards of child safety. This includes following strict safeguarding policies, completing mandatory training, and always acting in the best interests of children and young people.
How we Safeguard
We put safeguarding into practice through:
- Clear Policies & Procedures – Protecting children with robust guidelines and transparent reporting processes.
- Staff Training – Ensuring our team is trained to recognise, prevent, and respond to safety concerns.
- Safe Environments – Designing facilities, programs, and activities that prioritise wellbeing and inclusivity.
- Active Oversight – Regularly reviewing our practices to meet the Victorian Child Safe Standards and community expectations.
Your Role as a Parent or Carer
We believe that safeguarding is a shared responsibility. Parents, carers, and community members are encouraged to speak up if they have concerns, ask questions about our policies, and work with us to keep children safe.
